Wow, it’s February. January flew by. Honestly, wasn’t it New Year’s just a few days ago? Ha, okay, I’m kidding. But, January did go quickly this year and February is a big month for us at Three Rivers Romance Writers.
Victoria Roberts — author of Temptation In a Kilt and the soon-to-be-released X Marks the Scot — will be speaking at our February meeting! I’m bouncing with excitement to meet her and hear what she has to say, as I’m sure you are. She’ll be with us at our February meeting at the Bridgeville Public Library (505 McMillen Street, Bridgeville, PA 15017), at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Don’t miss it! The meeting, that is. And, Victoria’s talk.
February is also the debut of our Three Rivers Romance Writers Newsletter! Lots of work has gone into this baby and it’s looking pretty nice, if I do say so myself. We’ve had several contributors and will be hearing from our President, Sheri Edmondson, and have reviews of Madeline’s presentation from last month’s meeting and of Donald Maass’ “Fire in Fiction” workshop, hosted by Central Ohio Fiction Writers. I wasn’t there but I heard amazing things. It seems you can’t talk about being a writer and learning the craft without hearing Maass’ name thrown in there, and a few of our members were lucky enough to attend. Color me jealous, as I was not one of them. Next time… Next time…
Anyway, the newsletter will be emailed out soon. It’s my goal to have it to you by the first day of each month but…well, it’s almost ready. If not today, then tomorrow.
