Happy New Year!
2014 is sure to be a fantastic year for Three Rivers Romance Writers and our members. While many of us are huddled under a blanket, trying to keep warm as this winter hits our area with atypical temperature dips, I hope everyone will make an effort to be at our first-quarter meetings. Sheila and Sheri have worked hard to find us some amazing presenters and the information they’ll present will, undoubtedly, be worth venturing out in the cold.

Authors Round Table.

February 2014:
Thomas White presents Historic Research for Novelists
Historian, archivist, and writer Thomas White will discuss ways in which writers can research and create historically accurate settings for their fictional works. White will discuss resources available at the local, state and national levels, and the differences between academic and popular history. He will also explain how to access these historical resources and how to get in touch with experts in the field.
March 2014:
Susan Sabol presents Crafting Villains You Love to Hate
Susan M. Sabol began writing at a young age, completing her first full-length novel at the age of 17. Her love of everything paranormal and romance began shortly thereafter. She is an avid reader and writer, focusing mostly in the urban fantasy genre. She loves reading anything from contemporary single title romance to detective noir and the classics.
Suzanne published her first novel Cursed in 2009 and is the author of the Blushing Death Series from Soul Mate Publishing. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with majors in Criminology, International Studies, Russian, and Political Science. Currently working on a Masters in Public Policy, she also works full time as a Human Resources Professional and Fiscal Officer.
Suzanne was born and raised in Ohio. She currently resides in Columbus Ohio with her husband, Ross. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, North East Ohio Romance Writers of America, Central Ohio Fiction Writers, and Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal RWA Subchapter.
